Elects Officers

NHS to Begin Collecting Items for Winter Carnival

The Calais High School National Honor Society will be conducting several collection drives during Winter Carnival for various organizations around the city. These items include:

Paperback Books for Calais Lions Club

Canned Goods for Irene Chadbourne Ecumenical Food Pantry
Can Tabs for Kidney Dialysis Patients
Old Towels for PAWS
Eyeglasses for Calais Lions Club

Remember that each drive is worth points for classes! The first place class in each category will receive 4 pos, the second will receive 3 points, and so on. A total of 20 points could be available to one class in these collections!

O'Neill Wins As President

The Calais High School National Honor Society elected officers on Thursday, September 13, 2007. Nathan O'Neill was elected President, while David Lumbert won the election for Vice President. Kati Lutz will serve as the secretary and treasurer of the society.

 

 

NHS Induction Ceremony To Be Announced

Officers of the Calais High School chapter of National Honor Society will soon be announcing the date for a ceremony inducting juniors and seniors into the society. This ceremony will be scheduled for mid-March.

NHS Upcoming Events


10/18/07 NHS meeting in library at 2 PM. Bring ideas for service projects!

11/5/07 - NHS members are travelling to Brewer for leadership conference.

1/29/08 - New NHS members were notified of acceptance.

1/31/08 - First NHS meeting with new inductees. Collections will be set up and the induction ceremony will be discussed!
