Virtual Tour Now Being Filmed
UPDATE: School Montage/Virtual Tour Teaser Now Available!!

Filming

After an overwhelming response by teachers and faculty to the idea of a virtual tour on the Calais High School website*, the CHS technology education department, in conjunction with the website design team, has begun filming for a virtual tour of the school. The film, which will also be used for the 2008 New England Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation team welcoming ceremony, will be filmed during and after school to accurately represent the school’s atmosphere. From the front lobby to the cafeteria to individual classrooms, visitors and accreditation team members will be able to see Calais High School’s student body and teachers exhibiting the pride and commitment that CHS students and staff see every day.

Technology education student Nathan Gardner will be performing video editing, while Matt Driscoll and webmaster David Lumbert will assist with the filming. A newly acquired scooter will be utilized for the project, allowing the viewer to feel as though he is flying through the school. The majority of filming will be done from Monday, January 14 to Friday, January 18. For ideas on what to include in the film, please e-mail Webmaster David Lumbert at dlumbert@calaisschools.org.

*In early November 2007, teachers and faculty were asked at a meeting, “Which of the following would you like to see added to the website?” Of the seven possible choices, the highest response was given to “Virtual Tour of Calais High School.”
