Scholarships & Financial Aid

The FAFSA opens access to grants, scholarships, and loans for college or training programs. All seniors planning for education after high school should complete it early to maximize financial aid opportunities.

College Applications

The Common Application (Common App) is an online college application platform that allows students to apply to multiple colleges and universities with one application. Seniors can complete their personal information, essays, and recommendation requests all in one place, then submit to different schools easily. Many colleges also require supplemental questions or essays, so students should check each school’s requirements carefully. It’s a great way to stay organized and manage deadlines during the college application process.

Maine Community Colleges cannot be found on Common App and each have their own application.

University of Maine Direct Admit Program

CHS has partnered with University of Maine System to offer direct admission to our students! Seniors who want to OPT OUT of this program, please fill out this form and return to Mrs. Pike.
