On June 10, students, families, community members, and project partners gathered to celebrate the unveiling of Threads of Place: Weaving Our Stories in Clay, a collaborative art installation that honors the stories, memories, and connections that shape our community. The event welcomed 74 attendees and was a powerful evening of reflection, creativity, and community pride.

The project brought together 45 students, each creating an individual clay tile accompanied by a personal story inspired by their connection to place, family, memory, and home. While every tile stands as a unique representation of its creator, the completed installation reveals something even greater—a quilt-like artwork that demonstrates how individual experiences are woven together to create a stronger community.

Throughout the evening, guests explored the artwork, listened to student stories, and celebrated the dedication and creativity that made the project possible. The unveiling highlighted the importance of arts education and provided students with a meaningful opportunity to share their voices and experiences with the broader community.

The reveal night was more than an art exhibition; it was a celebration of belonging, storytelling, and the connections that unite us. The enthusiasm and support shown by attendees reinforced the power of the arts to bring people together and foster a deeper appreciation for the people and places we call home.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all students, families, community members, partners, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to the success of this project. Their encouragement and participation helped create an unforgettable evening that honored both individual stories and our shared sense of place.
