It was an exciting and unforgettable day for Calais High School as a select group of teachers had the unique opportunity to experience flight aboard Black Hawk helicopter was provided by the Maine Army National Guard.
Twenty lucky educators took part in a 15-minute aerial tour of the St. Croix River region, flying above Calais, Baring, and the surrounding communities. The experience gave participants a firsthand look at the capabilities of the Black Hawk helicopter while offering breathtaking views of the area from above.
Throughout the flight, teachers learned more about the aircraft, its mission, and the important role the Maine Army National Guard plays in serving communities across the state and nation.
The event provided an incredible educational experience and a memorable opportunity for Calais High School staff members to connect with members of the military in a unique and meaningful way.
