Good evening. Rain is in the forecast for here on Monday. We have made the decision to move the games to Dover Foxcroft. Bus leaves at 6:15, we will play GSA at 10am and then Dexter to follow.
We realize this was the planned senior night recognition. We will plan a separate event specific for seniors to recognize them here at the tennis courts.

Maggie O’Rourke Receives MPA Principal’s Award
(Calais/Maine) – Maggie O’Rourke of Calais Maine, a senior at Calais High School, has been selected to receive the 2026 Principal’s Award, Principal Dean A. Preston announced today. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principal’s Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“It is my great honor to present Maggie O’Rourke with the 2026 Principal’s Award; An honor that represents far more than academic success or participation in activities. This award speaks to something deeper. It recognizes a student who consistently demonstrates leadership, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in everything she does. In a school community like ours, leadership matters. It shapes our culture. It defines who we are and Maggie has played a significant role in strengthening that culture; quietly, consistently, and with purpose.
Calais High School is incredibly proud of her and look forward to seeing all that she will accomplish in the future.”

Correction to earlier message - it is supposed to read teacher workshop, not teacher worship day. Sorry teachers.
3 months ago, Calais School Department
Friday, March 13th is a scheduled teacher worship day at the CSD. The elementary and middle school have to make up an additional half day at the end of the school year due to a 2 hour delay and ultimate cancellation on 12/3, which was a planned early release.
To make up for this snow day, the elementary and middle school students ONLY will have a half day for students on Friday, 3/13. CMS will dismiss at 10:35 am and CES will dismiss at 10:55 am.

Winter Sports Banquet Date Change
Please note that the Winter Sports Banquet has been rescheduled from March 5th to March 17th.
This change is due to our wrestler, Ashaliegh Sulkowski, competing at the New England Championships in Providence, Rhode Island. She will be traveling with her wrestling coach on March 5th.
We are incredibly proud and excited to support her as she represents our school on such a big stage. It wouldn’t feel right to hold the banquet without both our wrestling coach and one of our dedicated athletes present.
Good luck, Ashaliegh! The entire school and community are behind you and cheering you on!

Kudos to Ashaleigh Sulkowski
Congratulations to Ashaleigh Sulkowski for securing a commendable third place in the Girls State Wrestling Championship in Belfast today.
Her performance has qualified her to compete at the New England Championship in Providence, Rhode Island, on March 7th!
She stands out as the only female wrestler from Washington County to earn a medal at the Girls State Championship. We are so proud of her achievements.
