Golf:
Our golf team participated in the Down East Athletic Conference Championship, where they claimed the overall team championship with a total score of 310. Jacob Footer achieved the best individual score of the day with a 73, followed closely by Chase Scott with a 76. Additionally, Jacob Footer, Chase Scott, Parker Cole, Brayan Shirley, Mikah Smith, and Turner Redding were all selected as DAC All-Stars. The coaches also named Jacob Footer as the DAC All-Star Player of the Year. Congratulations to him and the rest of the team. An incredible season thus far for our golf team, but it's not over yet! The team will travel to Hermon Meadows Golf Course where they will compete for the PVC Championship on Thursday October 2nd.

Boys Soccer:
The Calais boys soccer team faced off against Penobscot Christian, achieving a victory with a score of 3-0. Brock Collins scored two goals and Wyatt Short contributed one.

Volleyball:
The JV and Varsity volleyball teams traveled to Jonesport-Beals. The JV team won all their matches, displaying impressive teamwork. Meanwhile, the Varsity team played a thrilling five sets but lost the final set by just one point. It was a nail-biting match-up, and despite coming up short, the girls fought hard!

Years ago Mrs. Sanford's students had created an outdoor classroom space in the small wooded area by CMHS. Our Middle School students will be working throughout the year to reclaim the area. More school groups will be joining to enhance this area. Hopefully people, groups, and businesses will join us over the years to make this a special place.

We are so proud of our students who attended the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute Fall Forum yesterday!

Throughout the event, they explored their values, voice, and vision while connecting with inspiring women leaders from across Maine. Opportunities like this help our students grow their confidence, leadership skills, and networks as they prepare to make a difference in their communities and beyond.

A huge thank you to the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute and Senator Olympia Snowe for providing this incredible opportunity for our students!
