Midterms are scheduled for next week, and we need to discuss the process for students finishing early and checking out.

If a student completes their midterm and wishes to leave:

A parent/guardian must call or email or note to Ms. Jen
Ms. Jen will maintain a list of students with approved communications for early dismissal.
This list will be shared with teachers.

Students with a morning midterm who finish early cannot leave if they have a second midterm block.

If a student finishes early in the class a teacher may send them to :

They will be relocated to a designated area.

The cafeteria will be staffed for students who need to leave the classroom due to disruption or who prefer not to remain there.

In the cafeteria, students can read, use a computer, or engage in other activities to stay occupied.
The cafeteria will be staffed for students who are assigned to the cafe for their alternate testing location, need to leave the classroom due to disruption, or who prefer not to remain in class

Guided Study hall

Students who, and those assigned to guided study hall, should attend and prepare for their next class midterm.
Students enrolled in online classes must be present at school during the scheduled time for those classes until they are completed and marked as finished.

Students taking early college courses that have a college study hall do not need to come in for their early college class.
