Exciting Activities at Calais Middle and Calais High School Tomorrow is a bustling day for our school community! Our golf team will compete at the St. Croix Country Club for the DAC championship. Meanwhile, the boys’ soccer team will host a home game against Penobscot Christian. Additionally, the volleyball team is set to travel to Jonesport for an important match. Let's extend our best wishes to all these teams as they represent our school and community!

Calais Middle School 8th Grade has been working on geography and map skills to start the year.

Calais Middle School 7th grade has been learning about Passamaquoddy artifacts.

CMS 8th graders learned about planning, communication, and teamwork this week. The task: Transport a tennis ball 10 feet using only the tips of the markers and deposit it into a cup. If you drop it...start over.

8th grade worked hard connecting their summer activities to our science curriculum they learned in the 7th grade.

Years ago Mrs. Sanford's students had created an outdoor classroom space in the small wooded area by CMHS. Our Middle School students will be working throughout the year to reclaim the area. More school groups will be joining to enhance this area. Hopefully people, groups, and businesses will join us over the years to make this a special place.

8th Grade Block 2 had fun learning facts about the Maya by doing an escape room.

On Tuesday, Calais High School students interested in the arts had the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Maine College of Art and Design in Mrs. Tardif’s classroom. The visit gave students insight into creative career pathways, college programs, and the many opportunities available to those pursuing higher education in the visual arts.

We are so proud of our students who attended the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute Fall Forum yesterday!

Throughout the event, they explored their values, voice, and vision while connecting with inspiring women leaders from across Maine. Opportunities like this help our students grow their confidence, leadership skills, and networks as they prepare to make a difference in their communities and beyond.

A huge thank you to the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute and Senator Olympia Snowe for providing this incredible opportunity for our students!

The golf match for today 9-25 in Barren View has been canceled due to weather!

The varsity volleyball game will start in 12 minutes.

I would like to express my gratitude to all the volunteers who assisted at today's cross country race at Moosehorn. It was an outstanding event, featuring over 50 runners. The Blue Devils performed awesome, achieving two top ten finishes: Blake Bohannon placed fourth, and Madeline DelMonaco finished sixth. Additionally, the Lady Blue Devils traveled to Woodland today to compete against the Dragons and secured their first win of the season with a score of 3-2, thanks to goals from Sarah Wentworth and Lexi Bowen. Go Blue Devils!

Congratulations to the Golf Team on Their Latest Win! Outstanding Performers at the Last Meet: Jacob: 36 🥇 Parker: 40 Brayan: 40 Turner: 42 Mikah: 42 The team is performing exceptionally well and is fully energized as they approach the DAC and PVC Championships. Don't miss the DAC Golf Tournament on September 29th at 10 AM. Come out and support the team as they represent the Devils!
